New fuel pump For newly replaced fuel pumps, dry tests are also not allowed. Since the Oil Pump motor is sealed in the pump casing, the heat generated during the dry test cannot be dissipated. Once the armature overheats, it will burn the motor. Therefore, the fuel pump must be completely immersed in fuel for testing. 3. Other aspects After the fuel pump leaves the fuel tank, the fuel pump should be wiped clean in time and placed near it to avoid sparks. When connecting lines, the safety principle of "wiring first, then powering on" should be followed.
